Lisa Westcott On Silverleaf, Pinnacle Peak Vista & Why People Are Obsessed With Moving to Arizona

When our guest first moved to Arizona way back in 1995, she knew there was something special about it. Who wouldn’t want to be here?

Fast forward to the present – we’re no longer the best kept secret. Everyone wants to move here, and we’re seeing it reflected in our real estate market, and all the people coming in from other places. Just about every corner of this state has something for everyone, and you can find the neighborhood that matches the lifestyle you want to have.

How do you zero in on your perfect place in Arizona?

From Silverleaf to hidden gems like Pinnacle Peak Vista, Lisa Westcott shares the areas she’s obsessed with. She also talks about the market and what it takes to win as an agent.

Key Points

Be an agent for the right reasons

A lot of people who’ve gotten into real estate recently have been drawn in by the glamor they’ve seen on HGTV and Netflix. Unfortunately, this isn’t enough fuel to get you through the ups and downs. If you want to be in the industry for the long haul, you need to be in it for the right reasons.

Thankful for the market we’re in now

In the previous market, buyers who would otherwise get into a home easily struggled because they were competing with out-of-state cash offers. Now, things are more balanced again giving more people a chance to get into the homes they want. This is now a fair game market where no one has the upper hand over each other. Instead of hating it, many agents are actually thankful for this turn of events.

Choosing your perfect Arizona neighborhood

There’s a big difference between hearing about an area, driving by or flying over it and actually living in it and experiencing all it has to offer. In a place as expansive as Arizona with so many different corners and neighborhoods, it’s a good idea to spend some time doing short-term rentals to see where you might want to live before you actually buy.
